Lithology and Thickness

At the bottom, sandstones, clays, shell rocks (20-30m). At the top, clays, siltstone (aleurolites) with layers of shell rocks. In Gaurdak and Akkapychagay, the composition of the suite is mainly clayey. Thickness 60-120m.

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Baldykhan Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Kantau Fm.

Regional extent

Southwest Gissar. Corresponds to suite " r " of S.N. Simakov, with Liostrea acutirostris, L. michailowskii, and L. prima (51).
